The role
We are seeking a QA Sales Specialist for our client company in the food industry. Based in Heerhugowaard, North Holland, you will support Sales, Procurement, New Product Development (NPD) and quality management on QA matters. The role combines food-quality expertise with customer contact and international collaboration.
Your responsibilities include:
- Supporting Sales with QA matters involving suppliers and customers, and contributing technical expertise to commercial agreements.
- Coordinating ongoing QA topics between the client company, suppliers and customers, while helping improve the supply chain by raising awareness and reducing risks.
- Maintaining a database of frequently asked questions, specifications and questionnaires, and coordinating specifications between suppliers and customers.
- Approving certificates of analysis for shipments and discussing deviations with suppliers and customers.
- Managing and resolving QA complaints and setting up a supplier qualification and evaluation programme.
- Visiting customers and suppliers when needed and contributing QA expertise to NPD projects.
Working pattern and travel
You should be willing to work full time and travel internationally for about 10% of your working time. Some trips may take place at weekends.
What you bring
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in food technology, Food & Business, nutrition or a related field.
- 1–5 years of QA experience in the food industry; experience in dairy is an advantage. Recent graduates with relevant internship experience in the dairy sector may also be considered.
- Familiarity with quality certifications and standards such as IFS, GMP+ and SKAL.
- An interest in dairy, international trade and cross-cultural matters.
- Fluency in Dutch and English; Spanish or French is an advantage.
