The role
As a QA/QC Officer at our client company in Leeuwarden, you will help safeguard product quality and food safety in food production. You will work closely with the site's quality manager and teams across departments.
Together with the quality manager, you will develop monitoring programmes, coordinate checks with the relevant teams, ensure they are carried out, report improvement proposals and follow up on agreed actions.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain product quality and food safety, and carry out hygiene and process checks; discuss any deviations promptly with the colleagues responsible.
- Analyse production data, prepare periodic QC reports and turn findings into practical improvement proposals.
- Safeguard the standards in the quality management system and strengthen quality awareness across departments.
- Support the introduction of new products and processes and contribute to the validation team.
- Assist with internal and external audits and contribute to shop-floor training on product quality and food safety.
Hours and schedule
The role is 38 hours per week. Specific working hours and shift arrangements have not been provided.
What you bring
- At least an MBO-4 qualification; an HBO-level qualification in Food Technology is preferred.
- Experience in a quality role within the food industry is essential.
- Strong knowledge of quality measurement methods and criteria, quality requirements, HACCP and IFS.
- Good working knowledge of MS Office.
- Good spoken and written Dutch.
- You are sociable, proactive and flexible, work well with others, communicate clearly and are committed to continuous improvement.
