The role
Our client company in Gouda is looking for a QA/QC Associate to join its quality department, starting immediately. This is an entry-level role: you will be trained step by step in the daily work, with opportunities to develop within the organization. You will carry out checks in production and help safeguard product quality and food safety. You will work under the direction of the quality department managers. No two days are the same.
Responsibilities
- Carry out checks on the production floor.
- Take an active part in handling product holds and complaints, help resolve deviations, and ensure agreed procedures are followed.
- Contribute to improvement initiatives in production and quality control.
- Keep the quality manual up to date and support audits and certification processes.
- Help develop and deliver internal training on quality, hygiene and safety.
- Work with colleagues in product development, production, purchasing and sales to safeguard quality and food safety at every stage.
- Contribute to projects and implementations and act as a point of contact for strategic partners and B2B customers.
What you bring
- Knowledge of process control systems such as HACCP and IFS.
- Knowledge of microbiological, chemical and physical food safety hazards and relevant legislation.
- A critical approach to processes and the initiative to improve them.
- The ability to maintain an overview and respond quickly, along with a hands-on attitude, a willingness to take responsibility and an eye for detail.
