The role
As the Occupational Health & Safety Coordinator, you will be the in-house specialist for working conditions, safety, health and integrity. You will help strengthen the safety culture and translate issues and legal requirements into practical advice, working methods and procedures. The role is based in Westbeemster, North Holland.
Responsibilities
You will manage, improve, implement and monitor management systems, helping ensure that production and office environments meet applicable requirements. You will also translate legislation and system requirements into day-to-day practice.
- Carry out internal audits and risk assessments, analyse findings and develop action plans.
- Draft, update and maintain procedures and work instructions.
- Recommend improvements to management systems and participate in improvement projects.
- Act as a point of contact for internal and external parties, including certification bodies and occupational health services.
What you bring
- An interest in occupational health, safety and integrity.
- A completed qualification in occupational safety (MVK/HVK) or equivalent.
- Demonstrable experience with management systems and relevant experience in a similar role in a production environment.
- An affinity with the food industry, particularly the dairy industry.
- An enthusiastic, independent and communicative approach, with initiative and a hands-on attitude. You are well organised and work effectively with others.
- A solution-focused mindset and the ability to identify opportunities.
