The role
You will work as a medical microbiology analyst in the medical microbiology laboratory of our client company in Rotterdam. You will investigate pathogens and support patient care through careful diagnostic work.
Your responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic analyses of bacteria, fungi, viruses and parasites in line with established procedures.
- Set up and read cultures.
- Manage laboratory equipment and research materials.
- Carry out and report microbiological analyses.
- You may also contribute to validation work and the laboratory’s quality system.
Working pattern and hours
You will work variable shifts. The working week is 24 to 36 hours.
What you bring
- An HBO diploma in medical microbiology.
- Command of Dutch and English.
- Basic skills in Excel and Word.
- A precise approach and an interest in working as part of a team.
- Initiative, independence and flexibility, with the ability to handle fluctuating workloads and shifts.
- Good communication skills.
