Monitor quality and safety on infrastructure projects involving electricity, gas and water networks. Work outdoors at project sites around 90% of the time, with guidance and development opportunities. Gross salary: €3,200–€4,300 per month.
The role
For our client company, we are looking for an Infrastructure Quality Controller based in Alkmaar. You will monitor quality and safety during work on electricity, gas and water networks. Projects include replacing cables and pipelines and extending existing networks. You will not work in the trench itself; your focus is the worksite and the quality of the work.
Around 90% of your time is spent outdoors at project sites. The remaining time is devoted to preparation and administration, at the office or from home.
What you will do
- Check that barriers are correctly positioned and the worksite remains safe and tidy, including at the end of the day and before the weekend.
- Carry out worksite inspections, set a good example and intervene when you see unsafe situations.
- Check that everyone wears the correct PPE, the pre-start meeting has taken place, and the right people are on site and briefed using the correct work plan.
- Check that the site is properly set up and that equipment has been inspected and is suitable for the task.
- Monitor compliance with laws and regulations covering safety, occupational health and the environment, including the Safety and Health Plan.
- Carry out checks independently while working with the project team. The site supervisor is your point of contact on each project.
What you bring
- At least the Dutch MBO work-and-thinking level (intermediate vocational level).
- Some work experience, or you are starting your career.
- An interest in technology and infrastructure.
- You enjoy being on the move, like varied work and take responsibility for project safety and quality.
- You communicate well, stay calm under pressure and work well with others.
What is offered
- Gross salary of €3,200–€4,300 per month; your salary can grow as you develop.
- 38 days off: 25 annual leave days and 13 additional ADV days, in line with the applicable collective labour agreement.
- A company car with a charging card, also available for private use.
- Good guidance and room to develop towards a site supervisor role.
- A team with a good sense of humour and shared activities.
The contract type, number of working hours and work schedule are not specified.
