The role
As an HSE specialist, you will work on construction and infrastructure projects and remain visible on site. You start by aligning with the site supervisor, observe the work, identify risks and check that safety agreements are followed. You speak with workers, suggest practical solutions, meet with project managers, and deliver toolbox talks and safety briefings. Tasks vary by project; assignments are in Amersfoort and across the Netherlands.
Your responsibilities include:
- Carrying out site safety inspections and risk assessments.
- Advising site supervisors, project managers and clients on safety.
- Preparing and reviewing RI&Es, task risk analyses (TRAs) and safety plans.
- Delivering toolbox talks and safety instructions.
- Identifying risks and working with clients on practical solutions.
- Sharing knowledge and working with colleagues in safety and environment.
Working pattern

What you bring
- Completed MVK diploma (Middelbare Veiligheidskunde).
- Several years of experience as a safety professional in the construction and infrastructure sector.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership.
- Flexibility to work on projects across the Netherlands.
- Category B driving licence.
- Good command of Dutch, spoken and written.
- Knowledge of the Safety Culture Ladder and the ability to guide others in its application.
