The role
As HSE Manager at our client company in Aalsmeer, you will help strengthen a culture of safe and healthy work. Your remit spans a technical production environment with varied processes and risks. You will make sure HSE requirements are translated into practical day-to-day ways of working.
You will coordinate the work alongside the existing health, safety, welfare and environment team, help ensure compliance with current legislation, and bring structure to the HSE approach. You will develop policies and turn them into clear, usable procedures. This is a new role, with the opportunity to establish your own department as the organization continues to develop.
What you’ll do
- Develop the quality management system and keep it up to date and practical, including for audits and project evaluations.
- Analyze risks in work processes and implement improvements, with attention to occupational hygiene, health, well-being and hazardous substances.
- Build a solid foundation for risk assessment documentation, workplace inspections, toolbox meetings, and the recording of incidents and near misses.
- Promote safety awareness among employees, temporary staff and external partners.
- Coordinate HSE topics across organizational areas and contribute to annual plans, reports and environmental plans.
What you bring
- At least HBO-level work and thinking skills, preferably in a relevant field such as technical business administration, occupational hygiene, environmental science or integrated safety.
- At least five years of relevant HSE experience as an advisor or project manager.
- A VOL-VCA certificate.
- Up-to-date knowledge of HSE legislation and regulations, as well as ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and VCA.
- Experience with audits, project management, relevant certifications and a quality management system.
- The ability to build support, take initiative, connect people and work pragmatically and decisively. You can balance safety needs with production requirements.
What’s offered
- A salary of €4,500 to €6,000 per month, depending on your knowledge and experience.
- A working week of 32 to 40 hours.
- At full-time hours, 40 days off per year: 27 vacation days and 13 additional days off.
