The role
As HSE Coordinator at our client company, you help ensure that processes provide a safe and healthy working environment. Your focus is on operational processes in production and logistics, where you work to strengthen the safety culture in a positive way.
You work closely with relevant departments and also support safety activities at offices in the Netherlands. You report results, identified shortcomings and the status of actions to managers and process owners.
You promote and facilitate environmental and safety audits and support follow-up actions. You also support the QHSE Manager in the process towards certification to ISO 14001 and ISO 45001. You lead by example, address behaviour constructively, identify deviations and coordinate corrective and preventive actions.
The role is based in Heerenveen, in the province of Fryslân, and is for 32–40 hours per week. A specific work schedule is not stated.
What you bring
- A Dutch MBO-level diploma; a completed MVK safety qualification is preferred.
- 3–5 years of experience in a comparable role in a production environment.
- Knowledge of ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and OHSAS 18001, as well as safety management systems such as VCA.
- Knowledge of occupational health and safety and environmental legislation, RI&E, and delivering training and toolbox talks.
- A pragmatic, communicative and proactive approach, with perseverance.
- An affinity with production processes and technology.
- Accuracy, an ability to maintain oversight, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
