The role
Our client company is looking for a Higher Safety Expert (HVK) to support overhauls and projects in Moerdijk. You will be the main point of contact for safety and maintain a visible presence on the shop floor. From preparation through execution, you will help embed safety in maintenance work and complex technical projects.
Initially, your focus will be the work in Moerdijk, including overhauls and technical projects. Over time, you may also support projects at other sites in the Netherlands.
Responsibilities
- Check work methods against legislation and regulations, and address unsafe behavior.
- Carry out risk assessments, support inspections and monitor follow-up actions.
- Investigate incidents and near misses, identifying opportunities for lasting improvement.
- Develop and deliver training, instructions and toolbox talks.
- Work closely with engineering, operations and the SHEQ team.
What you bring
- A completed technical higher professional education at HBO level.
- A diploma in Hogere Veiligheidskunde (HVK; higher safety studies).
- Experience as an HVK professional in a technical or production environment.
- A VOL-VCA certificate, or willingness to obtain one.
- The ability to discuss safety at all levels, from the shop floor to senior management.
- Personal HVK certification is an advantage.
