The role
For a client company, we are looking for a Higher Safety Expert (HVK) in Amersfoort, Utrecht. You will work with a team of experienced safety professionals, advising and supporting clients in residential and non-residential construction, infrastructure, and ground, road and water works (GWW). You will help improve occupational safety and safety awareness. The scope varies by assignment.
Your work
- You advise clients on occupational safety and recommend realistic solutions.
- You coordinate the implementation of safety policies and ensure that related processes and procedures are followed.
- You work to improve safety performance continuously and help limit risks.
- You build support for safety and communicate its importance persuasively to different stakeholders and people at different levels.
What you bring
- Completed higher professional education (HBO level), preferably in construction engineering.
- An HVK diploma (Higher Safety Expert).
- 3–5 years of experience as a higher safety expert in construction, infrastructure or GWW.
- A motivated, practical approach, process insight and the ability to work in a structured, planned way.
- Persuasive, motivating communication skills and confidence communicating with different stakeholders and at different levels.
- Knowledge of current HSE standards, laws and regulations.
- Excellent spoken and written Dutch and English.
