The role
As a fresh produce quality controller, you will work at our client company's distribution centre in Geldermalsen. You inspect incoming and outgoing deliveries of fruit, vegetables and potatoes and ensure they meet quality standards. You assess freshness, ripeness, shelf life, sorting, presentation and any deviations.
You record inspection results and deviations, communicate your findings, and coordinate with colleagues, suppliers, and the Purchasing and Logistics teams. You also identify opportunities for improvement and contribute to solutions. Part of the work takes place in a chilled area at around 4°C; protective workwear is provided.
Working hours
You work 38 hours per week. Shifts run from Monday to Saturday between 07:00 and 19:00. The rota includes early and late shifts, with a Saturday shift every two to three weeks.
What you bring
- MBO-level knowledge and skills, or an equivalent background.
- An interest in quality products and the fresh produce sector.
- Experience in a similar role.
- An accurate, structured approach and attention to detail.
- Resilience under pressure, ambition, drive and initiative.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work with different teams; you can communicate in Dutch and English.
- A quality-inspector certificate or vocational qualification in fresh produce is an advantage. Job-related training is available to help you develop your skills.
- A VOG (Dutch Certificate of Conduct) is required.
