Clinical chemistry analyst in Amsterdam: blood collection, pre-analysis and diagnostics across varied lab workstations. 24–36 hours a week on rotating shifts; a 12-month temporary contract with the possibility of a permanent role. €2,975–€4,214 gross per month based on full-time hours.
The role
At our client company, you will join the clinical chemistry team at a diagnostic laboratory in Amsterdam. You will be involved throughout the process, from test requests and blood collection to pre-analysis, testing and authorisation of results.
In the morning, you take part in a blood-collection round in the clinical wards. You then work across different laboratory areas according to the workstation rota. These include sample reception, haemocytometry, (immuno)chemistry, coagulation, blood gas analysis and urinalysis. You use modern laboratory equipment, process a varied range of results and communicate with patients and clinical colleagues.
You work rotating shifts in a diagnostic service that operates 24/7. During shifts, no more than two analysts work together across the different workstations. On weekdays, you work alongside a larger team of analysts and laboratory technicians.
With sufficient experience and demonstrated suitability, you may progress to become a key user for a workstation, join the technical maintenance/POCT group or contribute to the education group.
