The role
At our client company in Botlek Rotterdam, Zuid-Holland, you will work as a Chemical Technology Engineer on the site’s process technology. You will contribute to projects and project management, product development, product certification, and resolving technical process issues. You will work with teams across the site and with the research and development team.
Your responsibilities include managing the capital plan, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget, managing modification systems and engineering design, and following project standards. You will conduct HAZOP studies and support compliance with legislation, coordination with external authorities, and quality assurance.
Schedule and on-call duties
Weekly hours and any shift pattern are not specified. You will participate in the on-call programme and the call-out team for emergencies and production and quality matters.
Requirements
- A university degree in Chemical Engineering.
- About 15 years of experience in the chemical industry.
- Experience with polymerization and extrusion technology.
- Experience with HAZOP and risk quantification.
- Fluency in Dutch and English.
- Living within a 35-minute drive of Botlek Rotterdam, or willing to relocate.
- An independent and composed approach, resilience under pressure, and the ability to set priorities and maintain oversight.
