The role
As a chemical analyst, you work alongside another analyst as part of a team. You collaborate closely with production departments and process engineering to keep processes running smoothly and maintain quality.
Responsibilities
- Carry out periodic chemical analyses of different process baths and cleaning machines using AAS, IC, UV/Vis and titrations.
- Perform periodic physical tests on organic and inorganic coatings, including tests for corrosion resistance, adhesion and hardness.
- Evaluate analysis results and use laboratory software to determine which bath adjustments are needed.
- Manage the results of chemical and physical tests.
- Analyse trends in measurement results, optimise existing analytical methods where needed and develop new methods with process engineering.
- Prepare analytical procedures and support process engineering with process optimisation.
