The role
As an Application Lab Laboratory Technician, you prepare and classify test materials to specifications to determine material properties. You carry out application tests for products and report measurement data with clear conclusions and recommendations.
Responsibilities
- Calibrate and maintain testing equipment, and carry out minor repairs to ensure reliable, reproducible measurements.
- Develop and implement test methods to support pilot-plant and production trials in collaboration with product development.
- Plan and coordinate your own work on the shop floor and guide interns or trainees when needed.
Work environment
Your work mainly involves pilot and small-scale runs for materials and coatings in a semi-automated batch environment with pilot equipment and a small production line. You work independently as part of a team of laboratory specialists.
