Work as an all-round laboratory analyst in Zaandam, testing raw materials, semi-finished and finished products through analytical, microbiological and sensory methods, including pathogen testing. An MBO-level qualification and laboratory experience are required.
The role
As an all-round analyst, you will work in the laboratory of our client company in Zaandam. You will help monitor the quality of incoming goods, production processes and food products.
Your work includes wet-chemical and instrumental analyses; microbiological testing, including microbial counts and tests for yeasts and moulds; pathogen testing such as for E. coli and Salmonella; and sensory analysis. Your results help ensure that raw materials, semi-finished products and finished goods meet customer, regulatory and internal requirements.
Your responsibilities
- Carry out analyses on raw materials, semi-finished products and finished goods.
- Help prepare and monitor the production process through reliable analyses.
- Contribute to improving internal procedures and work instructions, and keep up with developments in your field.
What you bring
- An MBO-level diploma in analytical chemistry, microbiology or an equivalent field.
- Some laboratory experience, preferably in microbiology, sensory analysis or analytical work. Experience in the food industry is an advantage.
- Sensory and/or microbiological experience is an advantage, but not essential.
- A pragmatic, hands-on approach and the ability to work well under pressure.
- Good spoken and written communication skills, with a flexible, accurate and precise way of working.
- A service-oriented and responsible attitude, an interest in improving procedures and a willingness to keep up with developments in your field.
